6TH GRADERS Return to In-Person Learning on Blended Learning Schedule
6th Graders Return to In-Person Learning on Blended Learning Schedule
The time has arrived for us to welcome the return of our 6th graders to in-person learning. From the beginning of the school year, we had planned to adopt a blended learning model in which students were taught in both a virtual classroom and in person. The pandemic put a hold on being able to implement that model as more became infected with the Coronavirus. Now, the infection rate on the Big Island is at a level acceptable for blended learning. Thus, we are planning to slowly transition our students back to campus on an A/B blended learning schedule. Read more on Return to In-Person Learning
Use the KMS Return-to-School Checklist to help prepare for in-person learning!
Use the Return to Campus Student Handout to help your child prepare for in-person learning! Let's work together to keep each other safe and healthy!
Beginning after the Spring Break, our Learning Hub will be moved (again) from the Gym to the Choral Room and will be closed on Wednesdays. Students in all grade levels may attend the Learning Hub on their asynchronous days by invitation. If you would like your child to utilize the Learning Hub, please call your child's counselor.

Even with all of the safety measures being put into place to prepare for face-to-face instruction, discerning parents may wish to play it safe and keep their child(ren) at home while there is still the threat of the virus in Hawaii. But what about your childʻs education? Consider Keaʻau Middle Schoolʻs Learn from Home Distance Learning Program.
